Yes, I’m a dude and I am saying I like Gossip Girl, although it may not be what you think. I actually think the show is pretty good for what it is, even though its not my usual cup of tea. What I do notice is that Gossip Girl characters fashion influence. I travel to New York often, and between the two coasts, there is a definite disconnect when it comes to fashion. Sometimes its a lag, where you will see it in New York first, then it trickles to San Francisco and LA over time, whether it be months or even a year or so, but Gossip Girl is changing that. Almost immediately after an episode of Gossip Girl,

After returning from some world travels, I was in need of a new cellphone. Of course the Apple iphone 4 was top on my list, but since I am no fan of AT&T, I decided to do a quick check of the competition. With a more affordable unlimited data plan, tethering available, 4G speeds with just about every feature you could ask for. This phone may not just rival the iphone, it could exceed it. Here are some of the features of the new HTC Glacier: 4G network video chat HD video & 5mp camera with flash Wifi hotspot & tethering available soon Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS enabled The integration with google, facebook, twitter and other social networks makes managing
I am a sucker for appliques, shoulder pads and elbow pads, especially in leather, so when I saw this jersey from Zara, it was on my list. I would have preferred it to be wool, but the acrylic/polyester blend will at least stay drier than cotton, and the style just can’t be beat. Besides, its a steal at £29.99. Classic casual style with that rougher edge, this leather appliques jersey from Zara embodies the well dressed mountain man. £29.99 from Zara Men [ad name=”go-STIL-smbanner”]
Made famous by Daniel Craigs 007 role of James bond in Quantum of Solace, the Tom Ford TF 108 sunglasses are simply epic. Replacing the traditionally Persol wearing James Bond, these Tom Fords have a noticeably edgier look. Not your traditional aviator sunglasses, this style eliminates the lower bridge bar in favor of a stylish ‘beefier’ top bridge bar. It also features a narrower width for a more fitted look and feel. Leather wrapped temple hooks add to the style and fit, keeping them nice and snug on the face. Made in Italy. $450 from Tom Ford *although they have been seen on amazon for as little as $199 [ad name=”go-STIL-smbanner”]
Just as exciting as a new pair of shoes, is great food. The satisfaction from a delicious meal is unparalleled, a truly worthwhile life enhancing experience. It seems here in the US, this can be a bit of a rarity, especially what is commonly available from grocery stores. I had yet to find anything close to the amazing flavor of cured meats and salami I sampled throughout Italy, until now. Cristiano Creminelli uses choice cuts, prepared in old world tradition using small family farms and organic spices for his handmade artisan meats. There is no need for a cracker or cheese, simply enjoy each variety on its own- the flavors will captivate your palate di per sé. My personal favorites
On my last visit to New York, I stumbled onto a leather textile shop filled with various leather bag designs, from leather satchels to messenger bags and purses. Since I have been on the hunt for ‘The Perfect’ leather duffel travel bag, I was intrigued by many of the label designer like shapes and designs. I quickly became a fan of their ‘Style #102’ contrasting brown leather duffel due to its rugged, handmade construction with a thick and supple leather unlike any I have found previous. A beefy, sturdy zipper and water-resistant green ballistic nylon lining sealed the deal. Well worth a look if you are looking for a designer style at a lower price and much higher handmade quality
As you may have noticed from previous timepiece postings on my IWC and desired Ulysse Nardin watches, I am quite the affectionado for these man-sessories. That being said, the timepiece strap can really make or break the whole look, much like the right wheels on a car or the frame on a painting- it just brings it all together. I have searched and found the most amazing custom hand-made leather watch bands worthy to be paired with such high-caliber watches. Attila Aszodi crafts these bands from Shell Cordovan leather for their softness and durability. The unique 2 piece leather designs are strong and sporty, with a touch of class. Available in limited quantities, the varying colors and widths make it
Say hello to my new little friend – the IWC Classic Pilots Chronograph (original 3706 ‘Flieger’). I am a huge fan of timepieces. Not only are they pretty much the only real Man-sessory (man-accessory), but they can tell you so much about a person. Take a simple Rolex Explorer – its subtle, classy, a bit dressy and its a Rolex. I would assume the owner much like their watch- well dressed, but subtle. Being that it is a Rolex, I would assume the person either likes Rolex’s, or they wanted a nice watch, but didn’t know much beyond the standard Rolex, Omega, Tag and Breitling. I am an IWC fan. Their watches are classic, not too over the top, but
Not your typical post, I know, but what can I say, I am drawn to it. Not just a spoof, “I Want a Goat” actually has a real point, and its awesome. Raising awareness and soliciting donations in a whole new way- using humor. It does seem a bit weird, even dirty, that I find this funny, but its the spoof I am laughing at, not the video (although the lyrics are hella funny). This is the explicit version, based on the explicit version of “I’m On A Boat” by the SNL spin-off crew Lonely Island. Here is a link to the clean version of I Want A Goat for those underage readers or with sensitive ears. Starting at $20
It used to be your signature was enough, but with fraud more rampant than ever, Montblanc have come up with a very expensive and unique solution. Personalized Ink DNA. If that’s not enough, they give you an exquisite gold plated, diamond encrusted Meisterstuck pen to deliver the ink. If you have enough money to purchase this set, then you probably aren’t signing anything yourself, but damn does it look great! The ink has a special botanical ‘DNA’ which can be identified and traced back to the owners ink and pen. Since I’m a bit scared of the price of the pen set, i can’t imagine how much it costs to extract and match pen DNA if ever there is a
